Windows Senior Technical Network Engineer with a minimum 5 Years in IT and 2 years in a similar role required by our client, a Middlesex based (West of London) solutions organisation. Working within a technical resource pool you will provide systems support duties including third line support for information systems on a rota basis. To be considered you must have excellent customer communication and people-management skills and have experience in managing the development of technical infrastructure systems and*or services including the provision of IT technical support direct to end-users in at least a medium to large business supporting circa 500 users. You must have a working knowledge of the Windows NT*2000*XP*2003 Operating Systems including, SQL, IE, Web Access Control and Management, Server and Workstation Build Specifications, Windows2000 Configuration and Management, Network Topology, Structures and Standards, IP Addressing, TCP*IP Connectivity Standards, IIS Web Servers and Security Sub-system, Internet protocols:- Telnet, FTP, SMTP, HTTP, bespoke and N-tier Architectures in a Distributed & Complex Server environment, Citrix Metaframe, 3rd Line Support and antivirus and firewalls.
